McCann Announced as 2017 Sue Carr Award Winner

  • by

At the 2017 National Convention, the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association presented the Sue Robash Carr Distinguished Alumni Award to Wendy McCann, a Life member of the Tau Chapter at the University of Houston.  Wendy has been consistently involved in Tau Beta Sigma at the chapter, district, and national level since her initiation in 1989.  She is a former MWD Counselor, and a long-time member of the Board of Directors of our predecessor organization, the National Alumni Association of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma.  Wendy has consistently demonstrated outstanding service to the Sorority, mentoring active members as a district counselor and by staying in contact with her home chapter.  Her nomination materials describe her as “the definition of positive alumni contributions to one’s home chapter.”  Additionally, Wendy’s decade-long dedication to cultivating a worthwhile alumni experience as SWD Alumni Chairperson and then on the NAA Board of Directors make her an exceptional recipient for this award.  Wendy is a Life member of Tau Beta Sigma and of Kappa Kappa Psi, an honorary member of both organizations, and an active member of both TBSAA and KKPsiAA.  There are few individuals who have demonstrated such continued dedication to fostering alumni programming and positive involvement than Wendy McCann.

Wendy lives in Arvada, Colorado, with her husband John (Beta Signa–Kappa Kappa Psi) and daughter Ariel.
