The Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association is proud to announce the recipient of the 2019 TBSAA Grant: Sarah Bogue, Life member of the Psi chapter at the University of Arkansas who currently resides in Tyler, Texas. Sarah submitted her grant application in the category of professional development. Sarah, having already achieved bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accountancy, aspires to become a certified public accountant (CPA). This is would be a high personal and professional achievement for Sarah and would provide greater job security in the future.
Sarah’s grant application requested funding to assist with the cost of completing the required steps to become a CPA in the state of Texas. This includes a 3-credit course in business ethics and sitting for the four component examinations to become certified. Sarah’s desire to continue to pursue her professional development and expand her skill set exemplifies the quality with all observe: Recognition and development of your intellectual potential.
