COVID-19 Convention Update

Sisters and Brothers,

The leadership of Tau Beta Sigma and Kappa Kappa Psi have been vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 virus situation.  Because of a variety of factors, the National Councils, with the support of the Boards of Trustees and Alumni Association leadership, have made the difficult decision to cancel all planned, in-person district conventions for 2020.

Many factors led to these decisions, including school closures, restrictions on student travel, and conditions in the host city/state.  While disappointing, the health and safety of our students and alumni are our highest priority.

At this time, there is a joint task force working to design and implement a digital online experience for those District Conventions. We can assure you that the needs of our alumni members and District-based Alumni Associations are being considered as part of this process.

In the coming days, the TBΣAA Executive Council and KKΨAA Board of Directors will be holding meetings to further discuss this situation and provide guidance and assistance to our district groups.

We both want to express our extreme gratitude to the leadership of our District-based Local Alumni Associations.  They have all put in amazing work planning for their conventions, creating a great alumni experience. This is a disappointing situation for all, and we are grateful for their dedication and volunteerism.

We will be in touch again in the coming days and weeks with more updates for those of you participating in our district conventions.

Sincerely,

Chris Foster, M.A.
