Honoring Past National Presidents Kochanek and West Miller

The month of April 2020 saw the passing to two influential Past National Presidents of Tau Beta Sigma: Doris Ragsdale Kochanek and Janet West Miller.

Doris Kochanek, the first National President of the Sorority passed away on April 15, 2020, in Lubbock, Texas. She was elected National President after the installation of the Beta Chapter and presided over the first National Convention. On April 28, 2020, Tau Beta Sigma lost one if its longest-serving advocates and mentors, Past National President Janet West Miller. A charter member of the Iota chapter and the Sorority’s fifth National President, Janet dedication several decades of her time and energies to supporting the Sorority, many as a member of the Board of Trustees.
