Lisa Croston (center) is presented the Sue Robash Carr Distinguished Alumni Award by Chris Foster and Sue Carr

The recipient of the 2019 Sue Robash Carr Distinguished Alumni Award is Lisa Croston, Life member of the Alpha Chapter. Lisa was presented the award at the National Convention banquet in Stillwater, Oklahoma (her hometown) by TBSAA Programs Director, Chris Foster.

Lisa Croston has been a dedicated servant leader in Tau Beta Sigma for over 30 years. She has served as a district president, national officer, trustee, and our National Historian.

In his address to the delegation, Chris had this to say in presenting the award to Lisa:

“Those of us who serve in as your national leaders are individuals who volunteer their time, energy and best efforts outside of our professional lives to do our best to provide all of you with the best possible student and alumni experience.  Tonight’s Sue Carr Award recipient is the person WE look to, both TBS and KKPsi, as our example… of dedication, servant leadership, and love for both the Sorority and Fraternity. No one has a bigger heart for our organizations. In her nomination packet we received a letter written by her son.  Of his mother, Jared said:

My mom is one of the most hardworking individuals I know. When she sets her mind to a task, she blocks out any and all outside distractions until she gets the job done. I’ve known her to pull all-nighters to see multiple projects through and go above and beyond to see that every detail is perfect. She takes it as her personal responsibility to help out any of her friends and/or loved ones whenever they are in need of it. What really stands out about her is that no matter who you, are my mom will always make time to talk, listen, hear you vent, and give advice. She has her hard days but mom never lets that get in the way of her living her life the way she wants to.

Congratulations Lisa!
