Ah, fall weather! It’s nice and cool out, so what better time to get a group of friends together and participate in the TBSAA’s annual For Greater Bands 5K? This year’s race will take place virtually on November 10th and is sure to be a fun time for all!
The benefactor for this year’s race will again be the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation. Last year, the TBSAA was able to donate $2,000 to the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation. This year we would love to significantly increase that amount!
One thing that’s really great about a virtual race is that you can walk or run from anywhere! Whether it is making laps around your neighborhood, local park, or shopping mall, you can participate from the location of your choice! Be sure to take a picture and upload it to your social media sites and tag the TBSAA! We would love to share your posts and keep the momentum going throughout the day!
A new component to this year’s race is that we are introducing team captains! Team captains will be people who gather a team of 10 friends to race under their name. Team captains will receive special recognition including their personal race fee being waived. For more info on being a team captain, email forgreaterbands5k@tbsigma.org .
