To commemorate the 75th birthday of the Sorority, the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association is offering its members an additional membership option. In addition to the existing member levels (Gold Star Club, Standard, and LAA-Only), for 2020-21 TBS alumni can choose “Diamond Anniversary Member”.
Diamond Anniversary membership in the Alumni Association incorporates an additional donation to the existing Gold Star Club, the premium membership level in TBSAA. For $75 (in honor of the 75th birthday year) member receive all of the benefits associaed with the Gold Star Club, plus:
- Special recognition in The Podium and the Entr’Acte newsletter
- A special Diamond Anniversary membership certificate (sent in early 2021)
- An exclusive member event at the 2021 Diamond Anniversary National Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan
- Permanent recognition at National Headquarter (item to be announced at a later date)
The additional membership funds collected via Diamond Anniversary membership dues will be earmarked for the TBSAA’s anniversary plans. “Rather than do a separate appeal for donations, we wanted to offer our members an easy way to chip in a few extra dollars as part of their annual member dues,” said Chris Foster, chairperson of the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association. “We want to do our part to make the 2021 year a very special one for our alumni and in particular, raise the bar on what the National Convention alumni experience can be.”
In honor of their contributions, the names of all Diamond Anniversary Members will be inscribed on a commemorative item at the National Headquarters in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A special announcement of the inscribed item will be made as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2021.
